Obtaining a Male Dog Versus a Female Dog
When choosing a new dog for the household and family, the idea of obtaining a female or a male usually comes into play. There are different pros and cons of opinion to each sex expressed. “Males urine on everything, or females have their periods on our nice carpet.” Everyone has their opinion and it can play a big role when trying to figure out what sex you want as your dog.
The main difference between the two sexes is the arousal level. Females hit more of a timed sequence when their arousal level is higher, when males go in and out of it a lot of their entire life. A lot of luck and family hereditary is involved as well though too.
People need to understand that, the way a dog acts has little to do with what sex the dog is most of the time. I would say most of it involves how the dog was trained and interacted while growing up as a puppy. Although arousal does effect aggressive behavior and lack of attention span, it can usually always be cured with other attention and appraisal in some sort of way.
At times, when a female dog in heat is around the area a male dog may become uncontrollable. It is said that some people have witnessed gangs of dogs packing up to follow that one female bitch in heat. I can not imagine the power that has on a male for them to gang up in a pack for one mission. We sometimes need to feel for these male dogs more and imagine what they must go through everyday.
