where to find agility training for my dog?
I have looked on yellowbook.com, anywho.com my local phone book and on the AKC and UKC clubs. I did find one in Rome NY but there is no contact info for them anywhere.
I was hoping to get her into someting like this to keep her active because she is one giant ball of energy.
thanks for all the answers.

Most areas have regional agility clubs. Do an Internet search for one and then contact them for training referrals.
Or, attend some agility events and speak with the people there. Great way to get references.
If you have a breed that’s known for agility prowess, contact your local breed club to see if they know of anyone.
If it’s a dog from a responsible breeder, then contact the breeder for a referral.

Visit the CleanRun website to find a local agility training club.

1. check the clean run website. It’s limited and out of date (for instance, in my experience, most agility instructors don’t have websites) but it’s worth a try.
2. Best option is to go to and find a trial near you. Then go and ask the competitors “who does agility near me? What clubs are there? Where can I take lessons?”
3. If you post again and list a specific geographic area I might be able to dig up some specific recommendations for you.

Look in your Yellow Pages Phone Directory. Do a search on-line for your city & state for dog training. Ask at your vet’s office. You can look on the AKC website— (look under clubs & then for type of club, agility)
